Daniela Casetti is a South Africa based musician with a Latin American background. Born in Chile in December 1987, she also spent some time in Argentina where some of her family comes from. She permanently relocated to South Africa in 2006.

 

Although she holds a Bcom degree in Tourism Management and has been a South African tourism practitioner for quite some time, her first love is music. In her latest work, she collaborated with legendary artists Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, Don Laka and Bonginkosi ‘Zola’ Dlamini.

 

In her 2021 single, 'Burnout', she worked with talented producer Matibisi ‘DJ Chase’ Ntshwana who is responsible for DJ Ganyani’s smashing hit, ‘Xigubu’. Through her Spanish lyrics, she pays tribute to Hotstix Mbuse, who also re-recorded some vocals on the song. Don Laka comes in with his silky piano solo to give the song a touch of sophistication. The song also features Biko Mabuse, Hotstix's rapper son.

Her latest single, 'Not Waiting For Your Love', mixes various genres, including dance, Afrobeat and R&B. She worked with local and international producers.
